Post doc
Dr. Armand Jaminon received his BSc and MSc degree in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Leiden. Next, he obtained his PhD degree at the University of Maastricht for research on the role of vascular smooth muscle cells in vascular remodeling processes and their involvement in calcification. After his PhD he continued to work in the group of Prof. Schurgers on the RegMedXB project.
Armand currently works on the Cardiovascular Moonshot of the RegMedXB consortium. Here he focusses on coronary artery health, by developing models that can replace or clean calcified coronary arteries and correct pathological vascular smooth muscle cells thereby avoiding coronary bypass grafting.
